Machine Learning Researcher

We are currently looking for machine learning (ML) researchers to join our team on a full-time basis. In this position, you will be responsible for research and development on ML applied to the general topic of learning from demonstration (LfD). Prior experience with LfD is not a strict requirement, as the overall solution may involve different aspects of ML including computer vision, unsupervised learning / feature learning, and/or reinforcement learning.

You may be a strong candidate if you:

  • Have a PhD in computer science or a related area;
  • Have published research on the topics of machine learning, decision theory or computer vision;
  • Have implemented ML methods in practice and you can demonstrate your contributions.

Any of the following items in your CV will also bring added value to your application:

  • Experience with Python;
  • Experience with deep learning software libraries such as Keras or Torch;
  • Experience using Linux for software development;
  • Past work as part of a research team in projects involving collaborative software development;
  • Experience in setting up and maintaining high-performance computing systems;
  • Experience with physics-based simulators for virtual agents (e.g. MuJoCo, Gazebo, or similar);
  • Experience in robotics.

This position is expected to start in September 2017.

Junior Machine Learning Researcher

We are currently looking for junior machine learning (ML) researchers to join our team on a full-time basis. In this position, you will work closely with other researchers to extend and deploy and state-of-the-art ML methods to practical problems on the general topic of learning from demonstration (LfD). Prior experience with LfD is not a strict requirement, as the overall solution may involve different aspects of ML including computer vision, unsupervised learning / feature learning, and/or reinforcement learning.

You may be a strong candidate if you have a Master’s degree in computer science or a related area and have either:

  • Published academic work in the areas of machine learning or decision theory;
  • Familiarity with the state-of-the-art in deep learning for the control of autonomous systems, or computer vision;
  • Implemented deep learning methods in practice and you can demonstrate your contributions.

Any of the following items in your CV will also bring added value to your application:

  • Experience with Python;
  • Experience with deep learning software libraries such as Keras or Torch;
  • Experience using Linux for software development;
  • Past work as part of a research team in projects involving collaborative software development;

Intern

We are currently looking for interns to reinforce our team on a full-time basis and for a limited term. In this position, you will collaborate with machine learning (ML) researchers and support the deployment of state-of-the-art ML methods to practical problems on the general topic of learning from demonstration (LfD).

You may be a strong candidate if you:

  • Have or are currently pursuing a Master’s degree in computer science or a related area;
  • Have a working knowledge of basic ML methods and how they are applied to real-word problems;
  • Have programming experience and are comfortable implementing ML solutions.

Any of the following items in your CV will also bring added value to your application:

  • Experience with Python;
  • Experience with deep learning software libraries such as Keras or Torch;
  • Experienced using Linux for software development;
  • Experience in setting up and maintaining high-performance computing systems;
  • Experience with physics-based simulators for virtual agents (e.g. MuJoCo, Gazebo, or similar);
